Fujifilm has recently updated their lens roadmap to include a number of new lens ranges to their lineup. From the new MK X mount cinema lenses, to the expansion of the regular X mount lineup, it looks like 2017/2018 will be an exciting year!
The long awaited 80mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro is slated to be released very soon (early 2017) but the addition of an ultra-wide and telephoto prime lens have slightly overshadowed this. Fuji has stated that they expect a new ultra-wide and telephoto lens in early 2018.
At this point not many details are available, but the ultra-wide lens appears as though it will be a similar range to the 10-24mm, possibly being a bit wider and a change to the aperture range. The telephoto prime appears as though it will be in the 200mm (300mm equivalent) range, with no word on the aperture values at this point.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available!
